Acupuncture is the insertion of ultra-thin, sterile needles into specific points on the body which reside on channels or meridians. These are pathways in both the exterior and interior of the body. This allows for a better flow of your energies and it has been shown to help to treat a variety of pregnancy related issues such as nausea, infertility issues, reduction of stress and anxiety. It can even help to turn a baby in the breech position to a more optimal position for delivery. Acupuncture can also help to induce labor and ease the intensity of contractions.
